Capricorn One was one of the first movies I saw in the theater by myself. That theme playing over the letters on the plain black background left a distinct impression on me. Also the first thing I remember seeing Sam Waterston in.

Saw this in a theater when i was in high school. Loved it then and still do. I never understood why it wasn't a bigger hit. Seems it had no weak aspects- fun story, great acting, cinematography and score. Many people I've mentioned it to while discussing old movies haven't heard of it.

Jerry Goldsmith produced such varied music for films and TV. Even with the greatest composers you can notice similarities in some of their compositions. Have never thought that about Jerry Goldsmith.

This film is often compared to Barry Lyndon, but personally I think it's ten times more enjoyable than that self indulgent mess, which was so often the case with Kubrick.

One of my favorite Eastwood movies but doesn't get the credit it deserves.

Great Job Folks!.. Expertly edited with the music....One small note, and I mean this more as a kindly suggestion... The very last frame....after the sleepy drunk slides on the bench... The last frame should be Matthau's "I got ya" face at the door.... But this is still great.

Capricorn One was fortunate indeed to have this wonderful score. I had the honor of working with Mr Goldsmith on the movie Poltergeist and took the opportunity to mention to him how much I loved his score for Alien. He smiled and said it was not the greatest of experiences for him, that Ridley Scott had been difficult. Rest In Peace, sir, and thank you for every note!

One of my all-time fav movies. Love it. Takes itself seriously but still lots of funny lines all serving to illustrate the cynicism of 70s NYC. "What the hell do they expect for their lousy 35 cents, to live forever?" -always loved that line.

I hadn’t realized the music in the film was Howard Blake, most famous for his music in the animated film The Snowman and most particularly the song “Walking in the Air” which has been covered by opera, pop, and rock performers. Mr. Blake is a genius.

I went into this movie thinking it was about an earnest ex con trying to make a fresh start in society and being derailed by a cold uncaring justice system. Not even halfway through I realized it was about an explosively violent pathological criminal that would still be pulling heist if he had a million bucks to his name. Great movie

I grew up in Northern Canada, we only had 3 TV channels but we had all these great french flicks on SRC’s “Les Grands Films”... Belmondo, Deneuve, de Funès etc etc... so good...a very, very pleasant memory of home...

There is not a bad scene a false in this movie. Everything is perfect. The use of black and white. The choice of the performers. And two of the greatest actors of our time going ahead to head. Whoever decided to cast walter As Then negotiator I hope they got a huge bonus. This is not only a great movie. It is one of the greatest movies ever made. Perfect in every way without seeming contrived
